What are Community Mini Grants?

The Delaware Behavioral Health Consortium (BHC), within the Office of the Lt. Governor is committed to uplifting on-the-ground efforts focused on meeting the diverse behavioral health needs of Delawareans. To demonstrate this commitment, the BHC is offering reimbursement mini-grants of up to $2,500 (2 requests per fiscal year allowed) to support local, high-impact behavioral health initiatives across Delaware.

  • Activities must clearly align with one or more of the following BHC Working Groups:
    • Communities of Care
    • Maternal Mental Health
    • Community Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder
    • First Responders & Veterans
  • Nonprofits & Community organizations
  • Schools & school districts
  • Healthcare & Behavioral Health Providers
  • Local government entities
  • Other mission-aligned organizations
  • Trainings & workshops
  • Community awareness initiatives
  • Resource navigation efforts
  • Events or support programs
  • Step 1: Submit the application
  • Step 2: BHC grant committee reviews for eligibility
  • Step 3: Decisions occur in approximately
  • Awardees will receive a simple grant agreement
  • Funds are distributed through the state process
  • Awardees will submit the short impact summary
