Elected to the State Senate in 2014, Senator Richardson serves on a number of committees, commissions and councils, including the Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission. Richardson is previous owner with wife Carol of Morning Star Publications, publishers of the Seaford and Laurel Star community newspapers, Morning Star Business Report, and other specialty publications. Morning Star Publications, Inc., was started in April 1996. Bryant and Carol live in Seaford. They have three children and five grandchildren and are long-time supporters of Delmarva Teen Challenge and a child in Ethiopia.
